Wild Sockeye Salmon is one of the cleanest of all ocean fish species, due to the pristine environments they frequent throughout their lifespan. Their feeding grounds and early habitats are located in the freshwater streams and lakes of the Far North of the US and Canada, where they spend the first year or so of their lives before migrating to the unpolluted Alaskan region of the North Pacific Ocean.

Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon contain more of the powerful antioxidant Astaxanthin than any other species. Astaxanthin, which provides the reddish-orange color of the fish, is absorbed from their diet mainstay, the zooplankton.

Unlike our wild salmon, farmed salmon are processed, deodorized, and distilled at high temperatures, thus losing nutrients and the structural integrity of their prized Omega-3 fatty acid molecules. This processing also strips the Astaxanthin out of farmed salmon. Hence, the generic golden color of farmed salmon oil versus the beautiful vibrant reddish-orange color of our naturally cold-extracted, undistilled wild salmon oil.

Our pure bulk salmon oil is derived from only the heads of the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon. It is processed within hours of harvest and cold extracted to best preserve most of the natural nutrients and antioxidents. It retains the beautiful reddish-orange natural color that testifies to the presence of high levels of Astaxanthin. This product is also certified Kosher.
